The "Coat of Many Colours" program, an initiative of the BeautyfromAshes organisation, aims to address the issue of poor students who lack proper school uniforms. The program is dedicated to improving student literacy, especially in marginalised communities. It achieves this by providing various resources such as school kits, uniforms, shoes, books, etc. It aims to enhance education for underprivileged students by constructing schools from the inside out through high-quality Student and Teachers Support (STS) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programs.
Student and Teacher Support (STS) Program: BeautyfromAshes supports marginalized and vulnerable children by implementing strategies and providing comprehensive support services to help them overcome barriers to success. The teacher support program equips teachers with innovative methodologies and materials to enhance the national curriculum to improve student literacy outcomes.
Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Program: Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs are globally recognized. When implemented at the school level, they provide students with a safe and healthy environment by reducing the risk of illness and allowing them to be more present in the classroom. Our WASH program is simple: we provide infrastructure such as toilets, distribute water filters, and educate students and communities on healthy behaviours like handwashing. These interventions are supported by global evidence and make a lasting and meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
